Farewell Sunday celebrated at Pine Lake

If you area at all familiar with Pine Lake Camp, you'll know that on the side of the Canteen overlooking the lake is a bench where you can sit in the shade, see the boats on the water, and be connected to the Internet! Ah yes! It is summer, and this weekend Phil's been tearing out the mold in the bathroom (carefully) and replacing it and the toilet. It's been a dirty job but someone needed to do it. I performed more of the ahh...supervisory tasks.

He is sure a great worker and seems to do it effortlessly. It is nice to have it done and later I'll post some photos. Right now it is just great to be here!

The camp staff are arriving and I saw more than one mother wiping the tears from her eyes as she left her child to work at camp for the summer. I didn't see any of the kids crying.

This is the final Sunday for many officers in their appointments, and technically I guess it is for us. We are both going to remain in the role, Wendy more than I, as I'm holding the Northern Appointments for the time being. Wendy will also keep some ministry units though not all the ones she's had. Tomorrow we move on to other responsibilities and the first step in that is changing offices. Then we are back to Pine Lake for Moms and Tots Camp.

The new buildings here at Pine Lake Camp look great and it will be great to see them in operation.
